1) The boys returned the horse to Byro not because they were fraid but because their conscience pricked them.
2) The narrator goes to 46, Marconi Street because she wants to get back the things that belonged to her mother, Mrs S. Before war , they have given those things to Mrs . Dorlings so as to keep them secure and safe.
3) Ranga's homecoming was a great event because he was the only one in village who went to bangalore for his higher studies. people gathered in front of his house to see whether he changed or not whether he adopted modern culture or not and returned back their homes with great disappointment.
4) Dates and facts are parts of knowledge which are content based. Albert thought that there was no point in learning dates and facts because firstly, these could be, ascertained from the books any time by just looking them up. Secondly, for him, learning facts was not education.
