The poet learned that what is done can never be undone and it is believed that Snake almost give what we done to it. The narrator was horrified at the sight of the snake around his neck. It could not breathe for a while and turned to a stone yet his presence of mind.

He was afraid but active. So he prayed to God to save him. He felt that God had heard his prayer when the snake turned its head and looked at the mirror. It then uncoiled the narrator's hand and went nearer to the mirror.
