No!! The nobel prize didn't bring them what they actually wanted. They were interested in science and only science. They wished to have a laboratory where they could work undisturbed but they hardly ever got it. Monsieur Curie wanted a professorship at Sorbonne but he didn't get that either. France was the last country to recognise their greatness and it was only Pierre's school which supported their work. So, basically, this nobel prize and fame never brought what they really wanted.
