Jesus most likely spent a large portion of his formative years studying under the Qumran monks. They were a semi-nomadic group most famous for (probably) writing the Dead Sea Scrolls. However, it’s quite possible that they were introduced to Buddhist philosophies, as well as Greek and Hindu, given ancient Israel’s status as a transportation and trading hub.
