In case of dice, i.e., case 1,
Total outcomes = 6 -> 1,2,3,4,5&6
Favourable outcomes = 3 -> 1,3&5
Therefore, P(getting an odd no.) = 3/6 = 1/2.

In case of coin, i.e., case 2,
Total outcomes = 2 -> head & tail
Favourable outcome = 1 -> head
Therefore, P(getting head) = 1/2.

For Die:
Total outcomes= 6
Probability of getting (E)=3/6
=1/2

For coin:
Total outcomes=2
Probability of getting (E)=1/2
{where(E) is the required event}

Hope it helps you.......
