Diferentiate between animation and transition in digital presentation

there is a very minor difference  b/w these two

transition effect means adding animation to the slides

and in custom animation i.e the animation which u r using in your text an d other stuff

means the effects which u r using in text and other stuffs is called custom animation and the effects which u use in slide is called transition effects

ANIMATIONS - The movement of the elements of a presentation, like text, pictures, charts, etc. in any direction of the slide is called Animation.
