Carry pure blood from heart to other parts

Thick,elastic walls

Deeply situated inorder to prevent wear and tear

Pulmonary artery is an exeptional artery which carries impure blood from heart to lungs

Veins;

Carry impure blood

No thick walls

Have valves to ensure the blood flow is unidirectional

Pulmonary vein is an exeptional vein which carries pure blood from lungs to heart
