Diurnal range of temperature:
The difference between the maximum and the minimum temperature in a day. Say max is 35 °C and min is 18°C on 16th Sept. 2016, then the diurnal range is 17°C.
Annual range of temperature:
The difference between the average temperature during the hottest month and the average temperature during the coldest month in a year.
