the gametogwnesis is the process of formation of gametes in sexually reproduction animals these animals show presence of somatic cells & germinal cells. somatic cells form organs of the body & multiply mitotically . the germinal cells form the gamete cells by mitosis & meiosis . the process of formation of male gamete I.e, spermatozoa is called spermatogenesis & the process of formation of female gamete I.e, ovum is called oogenesis
