diff between magma and lava

Magma is composed of molten rock and is stored in the Earth’s crust. Lava is magma that reaches the surface of our planet through a volcano vent.

See basically it is a single thing given 2 names at 2 different places.
Molten rocks following below the earth's crust as mantle are known as magma and when it comes out from the earth by volcanic erruption and it is known as lava.
Ok the second difference is that lava are less viscous as compared to magma.
