Metal-
1) They are sonorous
2) They are ductile
3) They are malleable
4) They are good conductors of both heat and electricity
5) They are generally solid at room temperature
6) They are lustrous and generally very hard.
In non-metal, it would be be just the opposite of all points stated above.
