The differences between co-polymer and homo-polymer are:
- when two type monomers are joined together to form a long chain of monomer ,they are known as CO-POLYMER ,while when a single types of monomer joined with each other to form a long chain of polymer they are known as HOMO-POLYMER.
- CO-POLYMER have complex type of structure , while HOMO-POLYMER have single structure.
- HOMO-POLYMERS are produced with the help of HOMO POLYMERIZATION ,while CO-POLYMERS are produced by CO POLYMERIZATION .
- Some examples are-
- HOMO_POLYMER : PVC, POLYTHENE, etc
- CO-POLYMER : poly vinyl acetyl , poly ethylene oxide .
