Hello there, RNA stands for ribonucleic acid and DNA stands for Deoxyribonucleic acid.
The difference is, that Nucleic acids are formed from N-Base+Sugar+phosphate in which difference in N-base characterises difference in DNA and RNA.
Basically, N-Bases are of two types
purines:
- Adenine
- Guanine
Pyrimidines:
- Cytosine
- Uracil
- thymine
Adenine binds with thymine in DNA whereas in RNA Uracil is there instead of thymine.
Whereas Guanine always binds with cytocine.
Moreover, RNA is unstable than DNA that is why it is found in lower organisms as genetic material instead of DNA, also it is used as chemical messenger inside the cell.

Explanation:
- DNA is double stranded molecule
- RNA is single stranded molecule
- DNA and RNA base slightly difference
- since DNA uses the base adenine, thymine,
cytosine and guanine;
- RNA uses adinie, uracil, cytosine and guanine
