In direct current (DC), the electric charge (current) only flows in one direction. Electric charge in alternating current (AC), on the other hand, changes direction periodically. The voltage in AC circuits also periodically reverses because the current changes direction.

Answer:
- The main difference between A.C generator and D.C generator is carbon brushes.
- The frequency of direct current (DC) is 0 Hz, as the current only flows in one direction.
- The frequency of generator (AC) is measured using :
Tachometer....
- A multimeter is an electronic measuring instrument also known as Volt-Ohm meter that combines several measurement functions in one unit.
- AVO meter is a company trademark for a line of multimeter.
- A tachometer is a revolution counter which measures the rotation speed of a shaft or disk in rotating machines like generator and motor.
- A speedometer measures the instantaneous speed of a vehicle.
the frequency of AC mains in India is 50 Hz,similar to most European countries. Whereas USA uses 60 Hz.
