1) Arteries carry oxygenated blood where as veins carry deoxgenated blood
2) Arteries are thick walled where as veins are elastic and thin ..
3) Veins have valves to avoid back flow of blood but arteries do not have valves..
4) Arteries carry blood from heart to all parts of the body where as veins collect blood from all parts of the body to the heart...

ARTERIES :
1. have thicker walls,
2.have more elastic tissues,
3.have more muscular walls which allows them to throb and recoil in order to transmit the force of the beating heart.
4.squrit blood when severed
5.carry bright red (oxygenated) blood

VEINS :
1.have thinner,translucent walls,
2.Ooze blood when severed
3.carry dark red (deoxygenated) blood
4.Are a low pressure system
5.Are fattened and collapsed unless there is blood flowing through them.
