The central nervous system or the CNS contains the brain and the spinal cord. ... Everything else but the CNS it is known as the peripheral nervous system. The peripheral nervous system or PNS contains the nerves, which leave the brain and the spinal cord and travel to certain areas of the body.

CNS or Central Nervous System is main part of the Brain. It is connected with brain and spinal cord. Central Nervous System is the main portion of receiving informations and it also spreads these informations to the organs. CNS is related with Brain's three part like - forebrain, midbrain and hindbrain.

PNS or Peripheral Nervous System is connected with cranial nerves and spinal cord. It controls over the neurons. Neurons are the main portion in Peripheral Nervous System. PNS are two types which are - autonomous nervous system and somatic nervous system.
