Difference b/w joint venture and strategic alliance

Joint venture :- It is a partnership between two big business houses for the benefits of economics of scale in production. It helps in reduction of capital and increases the working capacity of both the companies.

Strategic alliance :- It is a very strategic venture between to companies for the purpose of defeating the local competition and to grow fast in the world of business. They have there own policies and they just adopt policies which helps both of them in equal manner.
