A natural lake is localized in a basin that is surrounded by land, it does not have any outlet that serves to feed or drain the lake. On the other hand an artificial lake is a impoundment created using a dam or lock to store water. In other words a natural lake is used for the Conservation Strategy while artificial lakes are used for reservation.
