it gets more rainfall
whereas
Easter ghat lie on the bay of Bengal branch
receive s rainfall but less as compared to wester ghat

Western ghats runs parallel to West coast in a North South direction from tapi river to kanyakumari . Eastern ghats run in a North East to south west direction
