Both are large, inline six cylinders with similar dimensions and weight. The increased displacement of the 2JZ-GTE yields the same output but it achieves it's peak power at 1,200 rpm lower then the RB26. The 2JZ also nets 31 lb ft torque more at 400 rpm lower then the RB.
