Difference between 3 phase 3hp motor and 1 phase 3hp motor

Answer:

Single phase keeps running with two wires AC power,one HOT and one Return. Its turning course can't be changed. It has limitted power for torque. Three phase motor keeps running with three to four wires AC power,three HOT and one Return.
