2.this tissue is unidirectional(only in one direction, upward)

3.consists of trachieds, vessels, xylem parenchyma abd xylem fibres

phloem:

1.this tissue helps in translocation i.e transport of food from leaves to other parts of plant

2. this tissue is bidirectional (moves both up and down)

3. consists of sieve cells, sieve tubes, companion cells, phloem parenchyma and phloem fibres
