DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 70s RIBOSOMES AND 80S RIBOSOMES:
⇒ 70s ribosomes are found in prokaryotic cells while 80s ribosomes are found in eukaryotic cells
⇒ 70s ribosomes are smaller than 80s ribosomes
⇒the molecular weight of 70s type ribosomes is 3×10^6 daltons while the molecular weight of 80s type ribosomes is 4-5×10^6 daltons
⇒the ratio of RNA and protein in 70s type ribosomes is 2:1 while the ratio of RNA and protein in 80stype ribosomes is 1:1

70S type ribosomes are found in prokaryotes.. they are divided into 2 subunits = larger 50S + smaller 20S subunit.
80S type ribosomes are found in eukaryotes.. and they are divided into = larger 60S + smaller 40S subunits..
