in open circuit the switch is turned to off so current does not pass and in closed switch switch is turned to on so current pases through it

a-battery is a piar of cell connected with each other and cell is only 1 power supplier to the circuit(single unit)
b- open circuit is which allow electricity to flow through it and closed circuit dont allow electric current to pass throung it
