Hey, actually there isnt any difference in them, so for example when you call that carbon has atomic mass of 6 or its on 6th position in periodic table, so thats a normal carbon and always a normal carbon is C-12, 12 is basically its value of its mass or neutron number, yeah if you ask whats the difference between C-12 and C-14 so then also they both are carbon just at that time carbon 14 has difference in its mass number bcoz number of neutrons at that time are different.
