Pea seed is the dicot seed that is it contains two cotyledons.

On the other hand, maize seed is a monocot seed or contains single cotyledon.

Maize grain is obtained after the germination of the maize seed. Pea seed is the source of germination whereas the maize grain is the consumable food.
