Answer: the main difference is that a pin hole camera has no lens and therefor no adjustable aperture to that of an conventional one.
The resulting images obtained with the pin hole is that the images have a depth of field from the front of the camera to infinity but are not rendered as sharp as those obtained with a lens, especially a corrected lens.
