Difference between a pinhole camera and a normal camera

The pinhole forces every point emitting light in the scene to form a small point on the film, so the image is crisp. The reason a normal camera uses a lens rather than a pinhole is because the lens creates a much larger hole through which light can make it onto the film, meaning the film can be exposed faster.

Explanation:
A pinhole camera does not have a glass lens, but instead a pinhole where the light enters the photographing surface (film or digital sensor) to record the image. A conventional camera uses a glass lens with or without a shutter that directs the light to the recording surface. ... A pinhole camera doesn't.
