=> It is when an object is in a same position.

=> An object does not move

=> This is when an object does not change it's position, with respect to surroundings.

MOTION:

=> It is when an object does not have a steady position.

=> The object moves

=> This is when an object changes it's position with respect to the surroundings.

DISTANCE:

=> It is the length of the path travelled by an object.

=> Distance is a scalar quantity.

=> A scalar quantity is the one dimensional measurement.

DISPLACEMENT:

=> It is the shortest length from one point to other.

=> It is a vector quantity.

=> A vector quantity is two dimensional measurement.
