Serial printer :

text based printout.

• Due to character by character printing this is a slow printer.

On the other hand,

Line printer :

• The line printer is a type of printer which is designed to print in a line by line sequence for the total lines present in a whole text based printout.

• Due to line by line printing,this is a fast printer.
