It is always 1.

The difference between smallest (n+1) digit number and the largest n digit number would always be 1

The smallest n+1 digit number can be written as a 1 followed by n zeroes

The largest n digit number can be written as n 9's

Subtracting (100000......000) - ( 99999.....999) = 1

For example : let n be 3

Smallest 3+1 = 4 digit number would be 1000

and largest 3 digit number would be 999

Hence, 1000-999 = 1
