conduction requires a medium,but ,again,it is a fundamentally different mechanism than either convection or radiation; in the case it is the transfer of energy through a medium.

absorption is a condition in which something takes in another substances. it is a physical or chemical phenomenon,i n which atoms,m molecules or ions enters in the inner part {called bulk}.
