Acquired traits are learned by the experiences and learning experiences in life. It involves changes in non-reproductive tissues which cannot be passed on to the germ cells. For example acting and a mark of an accident.

Inherited traits are the ones which are acquired by the ancestors. They are transferred through DNA and the progeny. For example; height, eye color or skin.

the traits acquired by a person during his lifetime through experiences are called acquired traits. these traits are not passed on to the next generation. eg-if the tail of a mouse is cut, its progeny would be born with tail.
the traits acquired by the parents through genes are called inherited traits. these traits can be passed on to next generation. eg-colour of eyes or hair, tallness.
