active Transport is a type of transport in which the transfer of solvent is from lower concentration to higher concentration and it uses ATP ( energy currency of the cell) . it is against the concentration gradient. passive transport is also a transport in which the transfer of solvent is from higher concentration to lower concentration and without the use of ATP. hope it helps you ☺☺☺☺☺☺☺

active transport moves ions from lower concentration to the higher concentration with the help of ATP where passive transport moves ions from higher concentration to the lower concentration without any help of ATP
