Adaptation is broad term means that some species have changed themselves as per their surroundings.

For example: Cactus plant has changed itself as per the climatic conditions of desert and it doesn't change where ever we shall grow it.

Acclimatization is something which is similar to adaptation but it happens for a very short period of time.

For example Polar bears have white fur on their body which they use to hide themselves form their prey so they use it for a very short time.
