PHOTOGRAMMETRY:  The usage of photography for mapping and surveying of objects surveying and mapping to find measurements.

Aerial photogrammetry:

  1. To capture photos from a height, a drone or an aircraft called Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) specially designed to with cameras attached to it.
  2. For accuracy and statistics a large number of pictures are taken which further helps in comparison of the quality.
  3. The specially designed aerial vehicle fly over the landmarks which are to be captured and the aircraft speed which regulates the camera's catching speed.

Terrestrial photogrammetry:

  1. Terrestrial photogrammetry is a type of photogrammetry which deals with photographs which are taken by the cameras placed on the earth surface.
  2. The cameras used in this photography are handheld cameras, mounted on tripods, or cameras which are positioned from towers or other specially stands.
  3. The camera’s position is elevated, and the tilt angle, the length of the focus of the lens is adjusted.
