Aerobic respiration is the process of respiration that takes place in the presence of oxygen where as anaerobic respiration takes place in the absence of oxygen. Similarly Aerobic respiration results in the formation of carbon dioxide and anaerobic respiration results in the formation of carbon dioxide and ethyl alcohol.
