‘Against her will’ signifies an extreme situation where the offender or the rapist overtakes the reasoning capacity of the woman. The woman is not allowed to think or reason or form a desire. Her opposition and resistance renders the act against her will.
‘Without her consent’ is where the woman does not wish to affirm or give her permission to the act while she may possess will. Also, she can be unable to affirm to the act due to impaired reasoning capabilities. For example- a child, person of unsound mind cannot give consent.
