According to my understanding, "aim" is like a "goal"- a big target. To achieve our goal, we make some short and specific targets- that are called objectives.

I mean, the scope of aim is wider than objective.

Aim is what you want to achieve, while, objectivesare what you will do to achieve them. An objective is more specific in character, while an aim is more abstract. Also, an objective is time-bound whereas an aim need not be.Aim is setting a determined course in order to achieve a set target. Aims are usually long term.
Objective: An objective is a more specific target set in order to achieve the goal. It must usually be completed in a particular time limit.a material action (objective): the aim is the what of the research, and the objective is the how.  (please see the attached link for fuller discussion)
Therefore, "aim" is the general direction or intent, while "objective" is a more specific or concrete goal or accomplishment..
