For example, (a+b)2=a2+2ab+b2,is an identity.

↪️An equation is satisfied only by the solution of the variables present in it.

For example: x-3=0 is just an equation and not an identity because it is satisfied just by its solution x=3 and not for all values of x....✌️❣️
