Crocodiles and Alligators are the biggest reptilians on the planet. They are evolving since 250 million years. There are total 28 numbers of species are existing today of the Crocodiles. In that 50 % are Belongs to Crocodiles family Whether others are Alligators,Caimans and Arial. There are many differences between crocodile and alligator.

▶Crocodiles are larger than alligators. They are mostly found in all continents except Antarctica. They are living in the habitats like Rivers,Estuaries,Bays and Large lakes.

- Alligators are smaller species. There are only two main species and rest of others are subspecies like caimans. Alligators are only found in some parts of North America and South China. Whether caimans are living in tropical lakes and rivers of South America.

▶Crocodiles have long V- shaped snout. They have stronger jaws than any other animals, that’s why species like Nile crocodile hunts big animals like Wildebeest,Zebras and Buffaloes.

- Alligators have U - shaped snout. They are little smaller and lighter than crocodiles. They mostly hunts the animals like turtles,fishes,raccoons etc in the swamps of Florida.

▶ For Crocodiles, when their jaws get shut. Then crocodiles looks like that they are flashing or smiling their toothy grin. As their fourth tooth on both the sides sticks to the upper lip clearly and can be seen easily.

- For Alligators, They have wider upper jaw than their lower jaw so when they close their mouth then their all teeth are hidden.

▶Crocodiles have more than 22 species all over the World. Their complexion is lighter than Alligator. Saltwater Crocodile is the largest reptile and crocodilian in the world.

- Alligators are classified into only two species First one is American Alligator and the second one is Chinese Alligator whether other branch of them Caimans are in Six species.
