Alluvial Soil:

Alluvial Soil is very fertile as it is rich in mineral nutrients like potash and lime.

Most alluvial Soul is dervied from the sediments depostied by rivers.

Red Soils:

It is less fertile as it is deficient in phosphorus nitrogn lime and humus.

Most of the red soil has been formed due to weathring of ancient crystalline and metamorphic rocks.
