In direct current (DC), the electric charge (current) only flows in one direction. Electric charge in alternating current (AC), on the other hand, changes direction periodically. The voltage in AC circuits also periodically reverses because the current changes direction.

A.C = Rotating magnet along the wire.
D.C = Steady magnetism along the wire.
A.C = frequency is always between 50 to 60 hz.
D.C= frequency is always 0.
A.C = Power factor lies between 0 and 1.
D.C = Power factor is always 0.
