Elements:

1) Composed from the same atom or molecule.

2)Every particle in an element has the same number of protons in the nucleus.

3.example- sodium..magnesium...carbon

Compounds:

1)Composed from two or more different types of atoms or molecules.

2)protons in the nucleus of that particularcompound are different.


3) example- sodium hydroxide.....calcium oxide..etc
