Modern day education is based on ROTE LEARNING.

Memorize information.

For good reasons, the nature has bestowed small memory to lives. (Otherwise, we will carry all the painful experiences in life. Time is a great healer of pain we say. It is because with forget pains with time).

Every life has varying extent of “Ability to Remember and Recall”.

In Rote Learning, one can test how much of information one can remember. In education system, those who remember more scores high. That does not really prove some one is an intellectual or knowledgeable.

Ancient Schools in China and India used can be called the “Learning & Thinking” processes.

“Learning” helps gathering information around us in various sources and forms, filtering and preserving in an orderly way to process.

Thinking is a set of Information Processing tools to convert them into usable knowledge. This short and actionable items but normally stored in the volatile memory.

This knowledge help solving problems in life and making right decisions.

The wisdom, is the internalized knowledge and non-volatile - the sub conscious mind . A storage outside and works at sub-conscious level. So the most powerful.

This is simple but the educationalists are not aware of it.
