It has a high boiling point
it is used in making of perfumes
it can not be used as a solvent
It is not a substitute of petrol

Diethylether:
It is a very volatile liquid
It is used as anesthetic
It can be used as a solvent
It easily form peroxides in air
It can be used as a substitute for petrol with mixed with alcohol
