The main difference between antibiotics and vaccine as follows

Antibiotics -

  • It is usually used for killing bacteria
  • It works during the time of disease
  • It is taken after getting infected

Vaccines -

  • They are dead inactivated organisms or compounds that are used to provide immunity to particular infection or disease
  • It is used for killing most of the microorganisms especially virus
  • It is taken once and has permanent effect
  • It is preventive method that is taken before getting infected
