Hey there,
The answer is following;
A substance that reduces damage due to oxygen, such as that caused by free radicals. Well-known antioxidants include enzymes and other substances, such as vitamin C, vitamin E, and beta carotene, which are capable of counteracting the damaging effects of oxidation where as oxidants are play an absolutely opposite role as anti-oxidants. Oxidants support oxidation and in fact provide oxygen for successful oxidation process in a chemical reaction.
I hope the answer is helpful.
Thanks.
