aqueous solution is the solution in which solvent is water whereas in case of non aqueous solution,the solvent is not water

A solution in which the solvent used is other than water is called non-aqueous solution. Example - Sulphur dissolved in carbon disulphide. Non-aqueous solvents are alcohol, benzene, ether, acetone etc.
