ARTS
“Arts” cuts a very broad swath across a number of disciplines including art, art history, music - vocal and instrumental, and drama - writing and performing. The arts, in my opinion, covers just about anything that entails the use of creativity in all of its meanings.
DRAWING
Drawing, on the other hand, is a very narrow ribbon of creative effort in producing reasonable likenesses of chosen objects or scenes. Drawing could include preparing a paper or canvas for later applications of art materials. For example, I drew a preliminary likeness of my dog that I later filled in with pastels on paper or paint on a canvas.
